Weight and measuring tape for horses. To estimate the horse’s weight, make sure the horse is standing squarely on a level surface. Place the tape around the horse’s girth, directly behind the front legs/elbows and over the withers. Make sure the tape lies flat and is not twisted. Pull the tape snugly, but not so tight that it presses into the skin. Preferably wait until the horse exhales. Then read the estimated weight on the kg scale.
